Our company was founded in 1992. We are a Mother and Son team who saw a need in the marketplace for something different than was offered. We made it our goal from the very beginning to be unique, and if we couldn't produce a unique design and technique, we wouldn't do it.   Our philosophy is this: Sewing is really easier than it is usually portrayed and we try to present it in a simpler method if needed. Many times techniques are presented in a way that could have been easier. We always try to simplify any technique, and if you don't understand it because you have always done it differently, please try our way. We have many, many letters thanking us for our designs and techniques.   We strive to give you, the customer, something that is worthy of your time so that when finished, your garment will be outstanding in design and one that you will be most pleased to "show off"!

Karen is a native of Lubbock, Texas, educated at Texas Tech University, married with three grown sons. She has enjoyed sewing all her life, she made her doll clothes, her own clothes, and her sons' and husband's (though not nearly as many as for herself), and all of her home furnishings that were possible. After designing and selling her creations for years, she finally has found her most preferred niche, designing her own patterns, writing books and making videos as companions, and teaching across the US and Canada. What fun! Stan is the oldest of three sons. He was raised in Sherman, Texas and attended Texas Tech University, and later set out to make his fortune in parts "West" (as in go ... young man). After realizing the abundant resources at and around good ole' home, sweet home, he decided to make a proposal to his Mother that they should join their talents in a family business. His Mom's talents in sewing were tapped, and Stan's experience in marketing was put to the test, and he must have passed; he's still around, still looking for his fortune.
